Kids Say The Darndest Things

Here are three great statements from my daughters:

My oldest is learning how to cross the road safely, so each time she goes to the corner she has to look both way. She also loves "Why did the chicken cross the road jokes," so recently after crossing the street she turned to me and said "did the chicken look both ways before he crossed the road?"

She has also discovered the Smurfs, so last week on vacation we were trying to explain who the smurfs were and my wife told her that they lived in mushrooms. She then asked if they lived in the mushrooms we ate, and she was told no that they live in wild mushrooms and we don't eat wild mushrooms because they could be poisonous, to which she responded, "they're poisonous because they have smurfs living in them.

Finally, my youngest is potty training and watching the Elmo potty video, which talks about going number one or number two. When watching it last week at this point, she turned to her sister and said, "in Spanish it's numero dos."
